We booked a locals spa day and were really looking forward to using the facilities, but unfortunately the pool was absolutely packed. Despite pre-booking, there didn’t seem to be any spacing of numbers, which meant we couldn’t relax or use the facilities as hoped – this was disappointing. That said, the spa treatments were incredible. I had a massage with Jess and it was genuinely the best massage I’ve ever had. Lunch in the restaurant was also delicious, with amazing, attentive service from Zoe. A mixed experience overall – outstanding staff and treatments, but overcrowded spa facilities let it down.

We booked a fairly last-minute weekend away for two adults and one child. Booking was easy, pre-arrival information was great. Easy to find in a relatively quiet location with great access to local amenities and short day trips to some lovely little towns. Accommodation was ideal (lodge accommodation, self-catered). Access to the facilities on site was great too. Friendly service and a tidy site all added to the experience. Would likely go back again!

We booked a weekend stay for our anniversary via Secret Escapes and boy was this such a great find. Stunning food both evenings and a really good breakfast each morning. The room (superior) was brilliant with plenty of space and comfy bed. The TV could have been a tiny bit bigger, only due to the size of the room. The Spa and Pool were amazing, very chilled! All staff we met were very friendly and very accommodating. Ideal location for Charlestown, Eden Project, Mevagissey, Truro and St Austell. We will definitely be back.

The lodge we stayed in was very well presented. Clean, everything you could possibly need (including a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival). Spa was very nice a bit busy at times but not overcrowded. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The gardens and outdoor areas all looked fantastic for January, it must be stunning in the summer!

I travel a lot on business and would like to comment on how nice this hotel was for a stop over in Cornwall. It’s in a wooded area so it’s quiet and has nice views. The design and furnishing of the hotel and rooms are good quality. The spa and gym was well equipped and the food and rooms of good quality. The staff are excellent, very attentive and friendly. As special mention to Alfie. He is a standout for customer service and interaction, he’s an absolute asset to the bar area!

This is my first visit to this location today and I went for a spa afternoon with a couple of friends of mine and it was absolutely brilliant. Upon arrival, we were given a nice greeting by the members of staff on reception and when we wanted to order drinks to go down onto poolside. They're a very great and told us all the drinks on the menu and we were then able to choose the drinks that we all wanted. Also the prices were extremely reasonable and the wine was better priced than in the pub. The lift to take us down onto the floor where the pool was located was all brailled so we're able to find the buttons that we needed. And also the changing rooms were nicely spaced and level so we could get changed with ease. The pool was nice and warm so we were able to enjoy that and relax and the sauna and steam room were just as good and the vibe around the whole place was very relaxing and inviting. I Will definitely be back, and I would recommend this place to anybody who would like to have a spa afternoon or for the day, and also you can get facials and massages there as well and prices are behind reception which the staff will explain when you enquire about it.

My partner and I stayed in February. I had heard about this place before and decided to give it a go and it was a fantastic choice! The room was very clean, tidy and well-maintained! Has lots of tea and coffee and biscuits. Bed was huge and very comfortable! Nice pillows too. The spa facilities are really nice and clean. The gyms a bit small but good quality and with well looked after equipment. Sauna and steam room were very relaxing and the pool is also a nice size, although I imagine it could get cramped when the hotel is busy. We didn't do any 'treatments" so can't comment on that. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming, particularly Alfie who seemed to be everywhere and was always super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also very nice! Food was lovely and it was a nice chilled atmosphere. There seemed to be a lot of maintenance work going on while we were there. The kids park wasn't accessible (not a problem for us) and there was tape sectioning off a part of the front of the building. I imagine this is work that's intentionally done in low season, but just worth mentioning. Overall our stay was very nice and we will definitely come again. Thank you to all of the staff for a lovely stay!

We stayed last week. Staff were amazing room was nice and clean, pool/sauna steam room were all nice, jacuzzi wasn't the comfiest but was ok. Only gripe was cups of tea at breakfast and having to put the milk in before going back to the table. Im a tradesman I want a proper brew and leave the bag in for a few minutes. Maybe look at teapots and little jugs for the milk. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We ate the first night and went charlestown the 2nd. We will be back.
